| If you haven't caught up with the Thursday Next novels by Jasper Fforde, do so immediately. Start with The Eyre Affair, then Lost in a Good Book, The Well of Lost Plots and Something Rotten. Mr. Fforde has a world of fun with all of those classic (and some not so classic, some never even written) books that you read in English class along with some natural history, historical figures and politics, then mixes them well with a liberal dose of time travel and alternate worlds to come up with a delightful series of detective stories.
